In recent years, there has been a growing interest in sustainable construction in Europe, and thus in concepts such as energy efficiency and low-carbon economy. Construction based on a wooden framework filled with insulating material has been used for many years throughout Scandinavia, Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand, which means that all highly-developed economies in the world use this solution. Wood as a building material with rational forest management and the use of certified resources is a fully renewable material, while its transformation into a final product uses incomparably less energy than in the case of concrete, steel or building ceramics.

As a company with Norwegian roots, we are constantly gaining knowledge and experience from our much more experienced friends from northern Europe. Our construction system includes prefabricated floor, wall and roof components. This solution guarantees time savings during the assembly of the structure, we eliminate technical breaks connected with traditional brick construction. We are not dependent on the weather because the prefabrication takes place in the production hall, and the assembly itself can be done in sub-zero temperatures and in light rain/snow. Depending on the client’s wishes, we can deliver the building in components ready for assembly or we assemble it using a crane, in which case wall components and other components are much larger.

During the production process, our priorities are:

Airtightness of the building, which aims at eliminating uncontrolled air leaks which lead to energy losses and in extreme cases they can lead to humidity in the partition wall at the point of leakage. Thanks to a careful combination of all the elements of the structure and additional sealing, we can guarantee that there will be no unpleasant surprises in the future.

Continuity of thermal insulation and elimination of thermal bridges, i.e. places the most vulnerable to energy losses. It is very important to use materials with appropriate thermal conductivity properties. By using the insulation of the right thickness, triple-glazed windows filled with inert gas without aluminium elements between the panes we can achieve a very high thermal conductivity coefficient.

Diffusivity of partition wall, i.e. the use of materials which ensure that excess water vapour is carried away to the outside of the partition wall and eliminate the possibility of water vapour condensation inside the partition wall due to temperature and pressure differences between the internal and external surfaces.

Acoustics - an argument often raised by opponents of wooden structures is poor acoustics of the rooms. They are wrong! By using acoustic (soundproofing) tapes installed in key points, filling free spaces with insulation and loading ceilings with special slabs we significantly minimize sound transmission through the partitions and the structure.

Fire Resistance of a high level is achieved by finishing the rooms from the inside with cardboard and plasterboards, In addition, the thermal insulation material such as glass or rock wool is non-flammable, and the wood used in the structure, due to planing and milling of corners, requires more time to ignite than untreated material.

Certified materials as a large part of our products is exported to the north, we use the same solutions and materials which have undergone a more strict certification process, which proves the high quality of the material.

Description of individual layers of partitions

TechnologyFloor made as a frame structure, with a wind-insulation layer on the underside, then a load-bearing frame filled with thermal insulation material tightly closed with vapour barrier film from above, an air gap and the floor finish on acoustic (soundproofing) tape. This option is recommended for smaller structures used mainly for recreation due to lower cost and less time required for laying the foundations. The second solution is to make a full foundation plate fully insulated from the bottom with all the necessary installations, this option guarantees energy savings and helps maintain a nice micro climate inside. It is recommended especially for larger structures..

TechnologyWall in the basic version consists of a wooden frame filled with insulating material. On the outside, there is wind-insulation, air gap and a wooden facade, and on the inside - vapour barrier film, gap for feeding installations, which is also filled with insulating material and wall finish in any variant, acoustic tapes are also used to minimize sound transmission. The finished elements feature windows and doors and are treated from the outside.

TechnologyRoof consists of very similar layers to the wall, i.e. a structure with high-quality insulating material on the outside, vapour barrier film, gap for installations and ceiling finish, on the inside diffusion open roof membrane and selected roof covering on counter-battens and battens.

Detailed description of the layers and materials used for each product can be provided on request.
